Effective for the 2026-27 Junior Academy season. Last updated July 20, 2026.
Tuition for each trimester equals the number of class sessions on the published calendar for your child's enrolled class pattern, multiplied by the per-class rate for their team (Green, Teen Green, and Mini $50; Blue $95; Red $110 for 2026-27). Calendars for all three trimesters (Fall Sep 12 – Dec 19, 2026; Winter Jan 9 – Mar 27, 2027; Spring Apr 3 – Jun 19, 2027) are published before registration opens and already exclude scheduled tournament weekends and holidays — including no classes on Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday (Nov 26–27, 2026) and no FiDi classes Sep 18–20 or the Dec 5 weekend. Session counts — and therefore prices — may differ between clubs, days of the week, and class patterns.
Registration opens July 22, 2026 and stays open while spots last. Returning families' spots are reserved automatically: unless a family makes a change, enrollment continues as the prior season, billed at the published 2026-27 prices. Families use their registration link to choose classes, join a Dedicated Group, choose the Year Package, update payment method, or make any other change — Open Squash confirms changes and the exact published class count and price before billing.
If Open Squash cancels a class that appears on the published calendar, your account is automatically credited that class's share of your trimester tuition (trimester price ÷ published sessions). September 12, 2026 falls on Rosh Hashanah: families observing the holiday will have that class credited on request. Dates not on the published calendar (including tournament weekends, Thanksgiving Thursday–Friday, and the winter break) are not classes and are not credited. Classes that run during tournaments or holiday weekends are regular classes.
Enrollment at two or more sessions per week for players aged 10 and over includes an Open Squash Junior Membership at a rate of $99/month, collected as a single line with each trimester's tuition ($297 per trimester; $891 for the full season). Membership coverage is continuous from September through June, including school breaks. It provides (a) junior court booking access and (b) member lesson pricing ($35 less per lesson than non-member rates). The membership line is shown at registration — there is no separate monthly charge. Players under 10 and players enrolled once per week are not charged a membership. Junior memberships included with enrollment end when enrollment ends unless converted to a standalone membership (standard rate $129/month).
Registration is rollover-based: returning players continue with their team from last season. Within each team, Open Squash coaches organize class groups by age and level and may fine-tune groups between trimesters; if coaches recommend a team change, they contact the family directly, and mid-season team changes are priced per §8. Green and Blue each offer a Dedicated Group — a fixed pair of sessions (Mon + Wed at Bryant Park, or Tue + Thu at FiDi, the same rhythm as the Red team) where the same players train together for consistency. Dedicated Groups are open to any player on the team, and players may add further classes beyond their pair. Lesson booking is a separate process from Academy registration: it opens after the season is set and is based on coach availability. Lessons and lesson packs are not sold at registration.
Reservation Packs will be introduced during the 2026-27 season and are not offered at registration. When available: 5 bookings / $100 or 10 bookings / $180, valid only for junior court bookings by the enrolled child during junior booking windows, and not valid for adult court reservations. Packs do not include member lesson pricing. Unused bookings do not expire during the 2026-27 season and their remaining value is credited toward an upgrade to Junior Membership at any time. Packs are non-refundable but transferable between siblings enrolled in the Academy.
The Year Package covers all three 2026-27 trimesters, at the published class counts for the chosen class pattern, at a 5% discount, and is available exclusively with ACH (bank transfer) payment. Voluntary withdrawal mid-season converts the package to standard trimester pricing for completed and current trimesters (the 5% discount is recalculated away), with any remaining balance issued as club credit. Injury or inability to play is treated under §8 — the unused portion is refunded, including on the Year Package.
Match-Play Saturdays (FiDi, Saturdays 1–3pm, Red and Blue teams) are a $25 per-player drop-in, payable at check-in, separate from Academy tuition. If a participating player receives fewer than two matches in a session, the $25 fee is refunded as club credit.
